Don Coscarelli, author of one of the most traumatising horror films of the 70s (Phantasm, 1979) , gets back to business with John Dies At The End, based upon the David Wong novel of the same name, which made a buzz when prepublished on the web in 2001. Somewhere between William S.Burroughs' Naked Lunch and John Carpenter's Invasion Los Angeles, the atmosphere of John Dies At The End fears no eccentricity, increasing the number of hilarious gags and delirious imagery with a mad energy.
