Four Flies on Grey Velvet

Quatre Mosche di Velluto Grigio

A rock band drummer kills by accident a man who had been following him for a few days. The scene was photographed, and soon the musician starts being harassed…..

Four flies on grey velvet is one of Dario Argento's most personal films. It is also the last film of his « animal trilogy » (composed of The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and The Cat o' Nine Tails). Refusing to be labeled as a one-genre-only person, the italian director decides to adress giallo intimately, turning the main character (Michael Brandon) into the incarnation of his own suffering at that time. A fascinating piece of work, presented for the first time in it's restored version.
