Four flies on grey velvet is one of Dario Argento's most personal films. It is also the last film of his « animal trilogy » (composed of The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and The Cat o' Nine Tails). Refusing to be labeled as a one-genre-only person, the italian director decides to adress giallo intimately, turning the main character (Michael Brandon) into the incarnation of his own suffering at that time. A fascinating piece of work, presented for the first time in it's restored version.
