Ever since Mark Hartley's documentary Not Quite Hollywood -devoted to Australian commercial cinema- had shown a few images of Next of Kin ten years ago, moviegoers dreamed of seeing a restored copy one day. Wishes come true now: feel free to contemplate the fusion between Ozploitation and fantastic Gothic style, with extra hushed atmosphere and traumatic slow motion scenes.
