Members of a circle of theatre critics disappear one after the other in circumstances reminiscent of great Shakespearian classics. They are the target of Edward Lionheart, an actor swearing only by Sir William, determined to take revenge on these scribblers.

The very, very ugly duckling of the many cult movies starring Vincent Price. The great comedian is at his best in this frenzy artwork. Full of spicy dialogues stuffed with malicious irony, Theater of Blood plays with conveniences attributed to comedy theatre, brutalizes the genre and results in a high-end bis carnaval. The amazing duo formed by Price and Diana Rigg in the role of his daughter transforms us into a member of their underground court.
