John Carpenter’s first Halloween marked the advent of the slasher, the first Friday the 13th established the rules, which you all know if you’ve been fed with Scream. Cunningham's inaugural film has a special place, since the figure of Jason Voorhees is almost invisible. In 35mm as it will be exceptionally shown, the murder scenes made by the brilliant Tom Savini shine brightly and the old time look are to be savoured like junk food late at night.
