Regarded in the West as one of the most unique Japanese filmmakers, Ryuhei Kitamura (No One Lives) returns with this claustrophobic open countryside movie. Using a simple and exciting pitch, he produces a massacre game spiced up by all the possible framings and other acrobatic travellings that one would expect from the author of Midnight Meat Train. Gore, spectacular and nihilist, Downrange will delight fans of a director who, at almost fifty, isn't ready to calm down. All the better for us!
