For this 13th edition, our opening and closing events pay tribute to PIFFF’s all-time favorites!
Joseph Kahn opens the festival with a bang
We kick off the festival with an exclusive opening night dedicated to director Joseph Kahn. Known as a legendary music video director for artists like Garbage, Eminem, Taylor Swift, and Britney Spears, Kahn has also made his mark in feature films with Detention (2011) and Bodied (2017), both of which lit up our previous editions.
Joseph Kahn will join us on December 4th at the Max Linder Panorama for the French premiere of his latest film, ICK, a true love letter to 90s horror films, starring Mena Suvari and Brandon Routh.
And that’s not all! As a self-proclaimed completionist, PIFFF will showcase the last missing piece from Kahn’s filmography: a special 35mm screening of Torque (2004), his explosive debut film. Expect pure visual madness and creativity from the greatest music video director of the 90s and 2000s!
Nicolas Cage surfs the closing ceremony
To wrap up this 13th edition in spectacular fashion, we’re bringing another PIFFF favorite to the screen: Nicolas Cage in The Surfer, directed by Lorcan Finnegan. After standout roles in Color Out of Space (2019) and Dream Scenario (2023), Cage returns, ready for action on the beaches of Australia in a tense, reality-blurring journey.
