Lenny Nero, a fallen cop, has turned to dealing in a technology that allows him to relive all possible sensations. He comes into possession of a clip capable of triggering the apocalypse in a white-hot city.

From the soundtrack to the art direction to the Y2K angst, no other film could sum up the 1990s better than this one. And yet, Strange Days never gets old and even keeps, by its discourse on the manipulation of memories and corruption, a visionary character. Kathryn Bigelow confronts head on all the ethical, moral and political pitfalls posed by James Cameron's script and turns it into a furious techno-thriller, largely built on the power of images. One has to see again to believe it, in a glorious 35mm print, the striking work of the mise en scène, carried by the eye of its director and the bravery of kamikaze cameramen.
