Lenght : 155 min // Ratio : 1.85 // Format : dcpBob Guccione, the very bling bling boss of Penthouse magazine, starts dreaming of Hollywood. He hires the great author Gore Vidal to write a script dedicated to the life of the most decadent of Roman emperors, hires a prestigious cast and a director halfway between eroticism and auteur cinema. Tinto Brass and his main actor, Malcolm McDowell, start by betraying the text to make it pour into satire. Disappointed by the director's visions that were not suave enough for his taste, Guccione sneaks in pornographic scenes added to the editing. The result is a degenerate filmic monster like no other, presented here in its obnoxious integral version.
