A plane with four passengers crashes in the Philippine jungle on the island of Mindanao. After dark, the survivors are attacked by anthropophagious. Two of them manage to escape.

Better, in my opinion, than Cannibal Holocaust by the same author. The film offers a sort of improbable and exciting precipitate between the most uninhibited cinema bis and 70's auteur cinema, in free shooting, in the manner of Herzog on Aguirre or Barbet Schroeder for La Vallée. The result is a unique film, full of Italian-style violence and eroticism, as well as the most primitive poetry.

This screening of the film's brand-new 4K restoration will be presented by director Nicolas Boukhrief, to whom we'll be entrusting the choice of a film from our Séance Culte program each year.
