After working at Bach Films for 10 years, I co-founded Extralucid Films with Patrice Verry in 2019. We specialize in publishing both cult and contemporary genre films in collector's Blu-ray editions. As France's first self-proclaimed editor-influencer, I present each of the works we edit through fun, laid-back videos on our YouTube channel, with Patrice's help! At Extralucid, we love the physical medium and we defend it!
Stéphane Bouyer has been running the multinational Le Chat qui Fume for 20 years, with the mission of making people happy by releasing rare and unreleased films on video. Incidentally, he also hopes to make enough money to wipe out Andorra, because nobody really knows where that country is.
Born in Marseille, Mr Garcin is a self-taught artist. As a child of the '80s, he fed off all the pop-culture around him from an early age! A true jack-of-all-trades, it was with his collages based on comics and mangas that he exploded onto the scene! He soon produced his masterpiece, the “Spider-Eye”, which changed his life by becoming the cover of “Amazing Spider-Man” #700. At the PIFFF, we know him best as a member of the band “Double Dragon”, who musically illustrated many of our trailers! Their 2nd album is coming soon! A lifelong fan of horrific cinema, he'll be honoring us with his presence on the jury.
Graduated from the Advertising Graphics section of the Pivaut school in Nantes. He began a career in video games for several years, specializing in Pixel Art, before turning to traditional animation. He collaborated with Jérémie Périn on a number of music videos, and began working as a set designer on series such as Molusco and Best Bugs, as well as on the feature films Avril et le Monde Truqué and Les Hirondelles de Kaboul.
Specializing in set design, he was artistic director on Lastman season 1, Crisis Jung, Le Sommet des Dieux (shared this role with David Coquard-Dassault) and on Mars Express.
After 7 years working with Jean-Pierre Dionnet, 14 years at Bach Films and a few white hairs, in 2019 he and his partner Carine Bach will found Extralucid Films, a company dedicated to defending independent cinemas. In addition, his accessories are illustrated anthologies (Miss Endorphine, Regards and Absurdo) to give life to the unclassifiable and to dreams.
