Often considered the poor relation of horror cinema because of its budgetary and aesthetic economy, found footage nevertheless has a rich history, at the crossroads of genres, told here by many of its essential craftsmen.

With a patience and perseverance worthy of the best independent investigators, Sarah Appleton and Phillip Escott got their hands on all the great historical figures of the genre, from the precursor Ruggero Deodato to the directors of the matrix Blair Witch Project, including its most notable masters like Jaume Balagueró ([Rec]), Michael Goi (Megan Is Missing) or Patrick Brice (the diptych Creep). Some rascals even joined the party. This series of testimonies forms a harmonious whole thanks to a relevant contextualization and an analysis so well done that it makes you want to see all the films mentioned again, including those you didn't like.
